Among international contemporary art fairs, Art Basel has undoubtedly been considered the key event for over forty years, which since 2001 has proposed an edition in Miami Beach and more recently has also introduced one in Hong Kong.

Annually in December, the greater Miami area comes alive with a sequence of installations, events, warehouses that host hundreds of galleries and exhibitions attracting more than 90,000 visitors from the art world and beyond.

Art Basel – Miami Beach, located in the recently renovated Convention Center, is just the tip of an iceberg, as a matter of fact, the fair is often confused with the whole cluster of diversified exhibitions. Among these the fundamentals are Art Miami and Context (located in warehouses born in a new temporary location, on the ashes of the Miami Herald’s demolished headquarters) but there is also: Red Dot, Untitled, Scope, Nada – New Art Dealers Alliance, Art Design, Spectrum, and the entire Wynwood district with its many street-art galleries.

Bees Communication, active in this sector to support clients and projects such as Archmarathon Awards, Mipim ed LPS, visited main exhibitions and events, among which it is worth mentioning the cocktail hosted at Citco showroom, in the heart of the Miami Design District. During the soiree, Maha Kutay, Director of the design team of Zaha Hadid and Camiran Rasool, founder of Citco, presented their profitable and longtime collaboration describing some curious ins and outs of past and future projects.

Citco, present in Miami since 2016, was a sponsor at the first US edition of Archmarathon Awards as one of the approaches to actively promoting the company’s marble products and services in the territory. Learn more on their website:
